Favorite Games - Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is one of my favorite games from a while ago. So here is an informative page with lots of statistics from the game Alpha Centauri that I put together. Basically all of the statistics were gathered by looking in the Datalinks and writing down by hand pertinent information to what I wanted to include on my website.

Some data was more difficult to collect, such as the quotes that you find for each tech advance while you are playing the game (if you turn off the Blind Research option). Those quotes had to be gathered as I progressed through the game once (solely to collect those quotes - so I obviously played Zakharov). All screenshots of secret projects and the main introduction video were taken myself as well, so please don't use these on your own website. All other images were modified from original Alpha Centauri images. - So if you're looking for images for your site - it's always easy to take screenshots. :)

Welcome to the world of Alpha Centauri!

The game starts out with the Unity spaceship leaving Earth. The Unity goes along its merry way through the galaxy with its captain and seven key crew members.

From Great China, Chairman Sheng-Ji Yang is the Chief Executive Officer of the Unity. Colonel Corazon Santiago is the Unity Security Chief. Commissioner Pravin Lal, a Space Authority from the United Nations, is the ship Surgeon. From the Christian States of America, Sister Miriam Godwinson takes the role of Psych Chaplain. A diamond tycoon from Namibia, CEO Nwabudike Morgan is the Unity Franchise Holder. Lady Deirdre Skye, from Free Scotland, is the onboard Xenobiologist. And the Unity Science Officer is Dr. Prokhor Zakharov from the Russian Commonwealth.

While traveling through space, the Unity suddenly has a malfunction, and these seven people are able to leave the ship in escape pods shortly before it explodes. These escape pods all land on the closest planet nearby... Alpha Centauri.
